The 24th annual Soroptimist International of Fallon’s Home & Garden Show will fill the Fallon Convention Center this weekend with a lot of plants and gardening inspiration.

The show will open on both days at 9 a.m. and close Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission is a suggested donation of $1 per adult. Local vendors will feature home and garden decor, jewelry, photography, produce and canned goods, arts and crafts and more.

Publicist and longtime member of Soroptimists Marcia Vinson said the “one-stop shop” will have a variety of items ready for those searching for the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and graduation.

Starter plants, local produce, gardening supplies and accessories will all be available to inspire the ideal growing space at home.

The event’s second annual car show will be held in the parking lot Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. All years, makes and models are welcome to register for $15 per vehicle. Proceeds from the show benefit local scholarships and community programs. The global volunteer service for women has more than 66,000 members in 118 countries worldwide according to the website. Currently, the international organization is working on a “Big Goal” to invest in the dreams of half a million women and girls by 2031 through access to education.
