The Churchill Entrepreneurial Development Association is featuring Mayor Ken Tedford as this month’s speaker on April 30 at the Stockman’s Steakhouse.

The breakfast meeting begins at 7 a.m. RSVP by April 28 to Taylor at t.metz@cedaattracts.com.

A Fallon native, Tedford has served as mayor since 1995 and previously as a Fallon City Councilman for eight years. Tedford began serving the city through an entrepreneurial lens as the owner of Tedford Tire and Auto Service, a business his parents, Ken and Betty Tedford, launched in 1947.

With the firm belief that local businesses are the beating heart of the community, the mayor intimately understands the needs of Fallon-based entrepreneurs. After graduating from high school, he earned a Bachelors in Accounting degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.

In addition to owning his own business and serving his hometown as mayor, Tedford is first and foremost a father to his four children: Kenny, twins Darcy and Dylan, and Ali. His family-oriented, civic-minded leadership has led him to hold positions within several organizations over the years, such as the Fallon Convention & Tourism Authority and the Churchill Economic Development Authority.

After working with various local groups, Tedford has used his insight to create a variety of programs in an effort to solve important issues touching many areas of the Fallon community.
