The No. 5 ranked Oregon Ducks softball team (39-4) is being propelled by Carson High School graduates in Kedre and Kailee Luschar.
Kedre Luschar has made the most of her playing time this season, slashing a .466 batting average in 118 at-bats with a .504 on-base percentage and .712 slugging.
Kedre’s .466 batting average is the 17th-best in Division I amongst qualified hitters.
She’s recorded 13 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 35 RBIs. Kedre is also 22-for-22 in stolen base attempts.
Meanwhile, Kailee Luschar is second in the nation in stolen bases with 45, trailing Alabama’s Audrey Vandagriff by one swipe.
Kailee boasts a .380 batting average with 52 hits, which are the second-most on the team.
Kedre leads the Ducks with 55 hits.
The Ducks are 12-1 in Big Ten Conference games.

QUILLING EARNS RMAC POTW
Carson High School alumna Camryn Quilling had a monster weekend against a conference foe, earning Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference player of the week honors
Quilling, who is a redshirt senior at Colorado Christian, went 7-for-12 with two home runs and three RBIs in a four-game home series against Colorado Mesa.
The former Senator plated the game-winning run in the 11th inning with a walk-off RBI sacrifice fly.
Over 47 games played this season, Quilling is hitting .326 in 132 at-bats with six doubles, four home runs and 19 RBIs. She’s drawn 20 walks at the plate to just 11 strikeouts and has the second best on-base percentage (.438) among the Cougar starters.
Colorado Christian is 33-14 overall and 29-8 in RMAC play this spring.

NATIVIDAD LEADS WINTHROP IN AT-BATS
Douglas High School alumni Gabe Natividad leads Winthrop College’s baseball team in at-bats this season with 143 in 39 starts.
Natividad is hitting .308 with seven doubles, three triples, three home runs and 28 RBIs. He’s posted 17 walks to 23 strikeouts while also grabbing another 20 hit-by-pitches.
The junior is hitting .320 with runners in scoring position.
Winthrop has a 19-20 record this spring.

LTCC RUNNERS SET PACE IN SACRAMENTO
Several area high school athletes competing with Lake Tahoe Community College track and field continued to put together record-setting results.
In late March, the Coyotes — including Douglas High School alumni Jackson Davis and Niza Barton — went to Sacramento and ran against collegiate competition of all levels.
Davis put together a season-best time of 15:50.6 in the 5,000-meter race while Barton posted times of 5:22.42 in the 1,500 and 2:33.10 in the 800, setting personal records in both events.
ROBERTS, LEE PACING FEATHER RIVER SOFTBALL
Two Douglas High School alumni have been making a big impact as freshmen at Feather River College.
Lilyann Lee has put together a .408 batting average in 98 at-bats with three doubles, four homers and 24 RBIs. Her .561 slugging percentage is second on the team.
Fellow freshman Mya Roberts has a .253 batting clip in 79 at-bats with three doubles, two homers and a triple. Roberts has also tallied 13 RBIs for the Golden Eagles.
Feather River is 18-11 with a 10-5 record in conference play.

NORTHCUTT IN SENIOR SEASON AT BETHEL
Anna Northcutt, a 2021 Douglas High School graduate, has six hits in 25 at-bats this season with Bethel College.
Northcutt was a 2024 NAIA Scholar athlete and a two-time conference scholar athlete.
The Threshers hold a 10-23 record this season.
