The Nevada Artists Association is seeking artists to enter its judged winter show.
The show will open Saturday and continue through March 28, with judging taking place Sunday. The gallery is open noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday and closed Mondays and for holiday breaks. An artist’s reception will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23.
Interested artists can deliver work from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday to the Nevada Artist Association Gallery, 449 W. King St., or send photos of each entry to naacarsoncity@gmail.com. No late entries will be accepted. (Give file names for photographs of entries that include the title of the piece and your name).
Entries are limited to three per person, and artists must be 13 years or older. Member cost for first piece is $10 and $5 for second and third piece. Non-members: $20 for first piece and $10 for second and third piece.
Additional details:
• Entries may not have been entered in any previous NAA judged show
• Entries may not exceed 3 feet in width and 16 square feet (including frame)
• Entries must be original art (not reproductions), and/or photographs or prints (lithographs, gel prints, batik prints, etc.) No kits or templates are acceptable.
• Entries must be picked up at the close of the show
• All entries intended to be hung must have a wire with taped ends and felt or plastic bumpers. Saw tooth hangers will not be accepted.
• Artist’s name, title of the entry and the price must be on the back of each entry
• All entries must be for sale (artists can pick up unsold work 9 a.m. to noon March 29)
Winners will be announced on social media and through emails. Cash awards and ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show, and to first, second and third place in each category. Honorable mentions will receive ribbons.

There must be at least three entries in a category for judging. The public is invited to vote for People’s Choice. The winner will be awarded cash and a ribbon.
