The Oasis Academy girls and boys basketball teams split last week’s games on the road.
The girls took down Silver Stage, 42-31, on Tuesday. The boys team also defeated the Nighthawks, 30-23, on Tuesday in Silver Springs. On Saturday, the girls fell to Yerington, 47-23, as did the boys.
With the split, the girls (3-5) sit in sixth in the 2A North while the boys team (2-6) is in eighth. The top-six teams in both divisions advance to the league tournament next month in Pershing County. The top-two teams get a bye.
Oasis Academy traveled to Coral Academy on Tuesday, and it returns home this weekend for a pair of games against Battle Mountain on Friday and West Wendover on Saturday at the city-county gym. Oasis Academy travels to North Tahoe next Tuesday.
