UPDATE, 8:36 A.M. SATURDAY
At about 8:15 a.m., the Carson City Fire Department posted the following to Facebook:
“The Carson City Fire Department, along with other agencies, is actively working to contain the fire. Evacuation precautions have been lifted, and the temporary evacuation site at Fuji Park has been closed.
“The Carson City Emergency Operations Center, which was activated to support responders, is also now closed. Please avoid the area to allow responders to effectively manage the fire.”

More than 70 firefighters are fighting a 75-acre fire on C-Hill Saturday morning. The fire broke out about 11:25 p.m. Friday. Throughout the overnight hours crews have been working to contain the fire.
A temporary evacuation at Fuji Park is closing.
"Residents in the evacuation area are advised to prepare to leave if circumstances change. The public is asked to stay out of the area," the Carson City Fire Department said on Facebook.
"Thank you to the Carson City Sheriff's Office, Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department, Nevada Division of Forestry, U.S. Forest Service, Carson City CERT, East Fork Fire Protection District, and Sierra Front Interagency for working through the night as we continue to battle this fire."

Late Friday night a brush fire started on C-Hill in Carson City.
As of 12:27 a.m. Saturday the fire was reported at 50 acres.
As of 1:10 a.m., the National Interagency Fire Center reported the blaze was at 75 acres.
Per the Carson City Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, residents on Terrace Street and Crain Street should be prepared to evacuate. The temporary evacuation point is at Fuji Park.
