Carson High School hosted its first end of year ‘Athletics Awards Night’ in late May, honoring almost a dozen student athletes who will head to compete in college athletics.

Carson High also handed out awards to students and staff for their work this season.
• Carillo and JT Heaton were named Carson High’s girls and boys MVPs.
• Anne Davis and Kael Walt were selected for the Carson Senator Award (exemplifying passion, unity and grit).
• Natalia Armstrong and Cruz Gonzalez were chosen as the most improved players.
• Gloria Dooley, Julia Aquino and Presswood were selected for the three-sport athlete award.
• Outgoing Carson High School wrestling coach Nick Redwine was chosen as Coach of the Year.
• Shelia Story was selected as Assistant Coach of the Year.
• Amber LaFollette earned the Unsung Hero Award
• Jim Bean and Caroline Crowley were selected for the Game Worker Award
• Izabella Thompson was chosen for the Game Manager of the Year.
