The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants to serve on the Carson City Culture and Tourism Authority.

This board oversees all tourism matters within Carson City. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month at 4 p.m. in the Sierra Room at the community center. Applicants must be willing to commit approximately six to eight hours a month.

There is one position open to serve a two-year term for a person who can represent “other commercial interests.” The board of supervisors will interview and appoint the qualified person to the board.

Applicants must be a representative from a Carson City Hotel/Motel/RV Park to qualify. All members will serve without compensation. All applications submitted will be considered public information.

Applications will be accepted until June 27. Interviews are tentatively planned to be held Thursday, July 17.
