Western Nevada College announces the grand opening of “The Link,” a career and community resource center designed to help students build brighter futures.

Located in the Aspen Building on the Carson City campus, “The Link” will serve as a hub for career exploration, professional development, and employer engagement. The college celebrated the opening of “The Link” on May 8 with students, faculty, staff and community partners in attendance.

The creation of this resource was made possible through grant funding from the William N. Pennington Foundation, The Nell J. Redfield Foundation and the NV Energy Foundation.

“The Link” provides comprehensive support for students as they prepare for their future careers, including:

• Access to tools such as SkillUp, YouScience, and Handshake to support career discovery and employer connections

• Résumé development, interview preparation, and one-on-one career coaching

• On-campus job fairs, internship opportunities, and mentoring programs

By centralizing these services, Western Nevada College is helping students gain the tools, confidence, and connections they need to thrive in today’s job market.
