Nevada Artists Association's annual "Spirit of America" show will take place June 21-Aug. 8, with an artist’s reception from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 29.
Submit entries between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday, June 21 to the Nevada Artist Association Art Gallery, 449 W. King St. (no late entries). Gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday, closed Mondays and for holiday breaks.
Entries
• Entries are limited to three per person. Must be 13 years or older. All entries must be for sale. Unless sold, entries must remain for the duration of the show. NAA collects a 25% commission on entries sold.
• Entries may not exceed three feet in width, and 16 square feet (including frame).
• Entry fees: Members: $10 for first entry, $5 for second and third entries; non-members: $20 for first entry, $10 for second and third entries. Use judged entry form at https://nevadaartists.org/call-to-artists/.
• Any new member joining on entry day will be considered a member, pay member fee rates, and will be a member through 2025. Membership information can be found at https://nevadaartists.org/membership/.
• All entries intended to be hung must have a wire for hanging with taped ends and felt or plastic bumpers. Saw tooth hangers will not be accepted.
• Name, title of entry and price must be on the back of each entry and be the same information as on the entry form for each piece.
Judging and awards
Judging will take place Sunday, June 22 by three judges. Winners will be announced on social media, through emails, and the Nevada Appeal.
Cash awards and ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show, Spirit of America Award, and to first, second and third place in each category. Honorable Mentions will receive ribbons. Following the theme is optional, but the “Spirit of America” award will be theme-based. For category definitions, visit https://nevadaartists.org/call-to-artists/.
There must be at least three entries in a category for judging. Any category not receiving three entries will be combined into the “Other” category and if there are more than three, will be judged as a category.
The public will be invited to vote for People’s Choice and the winner will be awarded cash and a ribbon. The winning People’s Choice entry will be displayed for sale at the Summer Show. Work that is unsold will be available for pickup between 9 a.m. and noon Aug. 9.

Send photos of each entry to naacarsoncity@gmail.com until June 21. Mats and frames should be cropped out of photos. Give file names for photographs of entries that include the title of the piece and your name.
