Swimming: Fallon boys sweep North Valleys, Wooster

In its first meet of the year, the Greenwave swim team defeated North Valleys, 98-41, and Wooster, 98-16, in the boys division. With only two swimmers, the girls swim team lost to North Valleys, 59-30, and Wooster, 93-30.

Fallon, which competed in Carson last week, heads to Truckee on Friday.

In the contested races against North Valleys, Michael Liston won the 50-meter freestyle in 26.52 seconds followed by teammates Kage Oyler, third, 30.31, and Joshua Enriquez, fourth, 30.33. Liston also won the 100 free in 1:01.40 followed by William McLean in 1:05.15. Enriquez finished fourth in 1:12.82.

The 200 relay team of Brody Reynolds, McLean, Enriquez and Liston won in 1:52.37. Oyler won the 100 backstroke in 1:17.35, and Isaac Frederick was third in 1:41.82.

Against Wooster, McLean was second in the 200 individual medley in 2:43.57 and Reynolds finished second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.36.

For the girls against North Valleys, Miranda Reeder and Jocylyn Miller finished first and second in the 50 free in 31.42 and 32.30. Reeder won the 100 backstroke in 1:30.24.

In the Wooster races, Miller won the 200 free in 2:51.63 while Reeder and Miller were first and second in the 50 free. Reeder’s backstroke time was the best by 32 seconds.
