Douglas High School baseball only had four hits Tuesday in a 7-4 win over Galena, but they made them count.

The Tigers were hitless going into the fifth inning – and trailing 4-0 – but consecutive singles from Jake Hoover, Brock Tholen and Luke Main loaded the bases for Aiden Tarlo.

The sophomore walked to make it 4-1, bringing senior Jackson Ovard to the plate.

Ovard turned on the second pitch around the letters and deposited it over the left field fence.

The Tigers added two insurance runs in the sixth on an error and a Tarlo RBI sac fly.

Ovard is hitting .275 with 13 RBIs and three doubles in 40 at-bats.
