Numa Elementary School held its annual “Numaseum” on May 1 where more than 200 fifth-grade students presented a short speech enhanced by an appropriate costume and a project board.

All are guided through the process of completing the long-term project and must meet regular deadlines over two months. The result is an hourlong event that fills the school with the sights and sounds of history.

Classrooms are divided into sections representing significant figures and events in U.S. and world history, the military, science, sports and the arts. Much like an actual museum, family and friends are then invited to walk through the presentations and listen to any that catch their interest.
