Douglas High School baseball went into its Class 5A North regional tournament as the No. 7 seed, traveling to No. 2 Reno to kick off postseason play.

Blaine Bilderback got the starting nod for the Tigers and went 5.2 innings while recording five strikeouts. He limited the Huskies to two earned runs and two walks on seven hits.

Luke Main and Titus Gocke recorded Douglas’ only two hits of the afternoon as Reno starting pitcher Mack Edwards, a UCLA commit, struck out 12 in seven innings.

In their first consolation game, Douglas ran into No. 6 Reed, but fell 10-0 in six innings.

Colt Cummins had a pair of hits and Jackson Ovard hit a double, but the Tiger offense was held off the scoreboard once again.

Jeffrey Peters went 1-for-2 in the loss.

Douglas finishes the spring with an overall record of 10-18.
