Hello, friends and supporters.
May is off to a fantastic start at the Fallon Theatre, and we’re excited to bring you another weekend full of music, movies and entertainment for the whole family. Whether you're in the mood for a fresh blockbuster, a classic Western or live local music, we’ve got something for everyone.
This Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., we’re screening “Wicked” (2024), the long-awaited film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical. Dive into the magical world of Oz and discover the untold story of Elphaba and Glinda before Dorothy ever arrived. With powerful performances, dazzling visuals, and unforgettable music, Wicked brings the magic of the stage to the big screen. The film is rated PG.
Friday at 7 p.m., we’re featuring the iconic western “High Noon” (1952), starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly. Tense, gripping, and shot in real time, this Oscar-winning classic follows a small-town marshal forced to stand alone against a vengeful outlaw. A masterwork of American cinema, the film is rated PG.
Then on Saturday at 7 p.m., don’t miss a free live concert with River Rogue. This talented cover band brings together musicians from Schurz, Fallon and Carson City to deliver an electric set of country, rock and blues hits. It’s a high-energy, feel-good evening of music and it’s completely free to attend, though tips are always welcomed and appreciated!
And be sure to mark your calendars for our yearly fundraising Show & Shine event on Sept. 27. This community car show is free to the public, and those interested in participating may find the signup link on our website.
