A procession for Deputy Tristan Redmond, who died Tuesday from an off-duty motorcycle crash on May 2, will be conducted this morning.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is assisting the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office with a procession 20 to 30 vehicles and will be leaving Renown Regional Medical Center and heading east to Fallon.
The procession will leave Renown Medical Center at 10 a.m. The Nevada Highway Patrol also told the Lahontan Valley News people wishing to pay their respects may do so at the Derby Dam overpass on Interstate 80.
The NHP said the procession will leave Interstate 80 at the second Fernley exit and then merge on to US Highway 50 for the journey to Fallon.
According to the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office, the procession will head east on Highway 50/Williams Avenue to Smith’s Funeral Home.
After the motorcycle crash, Deputy Redmond, who served with the CCSO for four years. was flown to Renown Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. After fighting for his life, Redmond succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday with his wife and family by his side.
