Oregon softball will be en route to Oklahoma City after punching its ticket to the Women’s College World Series Saturday afternoon in Eugene.
Kailee and Kedre Luschar – both Carson High School graduates – were the leadoff and No. 2 hitters, respectively, for the Ducks in both games of its 2-of-3 Super Regional series against Liberty.
The Flames were coming off an upset win over No. 1 Texas A&M to advance out of regional play.
The Ducks defeated Liberty Friday, 3-2, in extra innings and Saturday, 13-1.
For the Luschar’s, their goal all season has been to make the College World Series.
Oregon will play No. 9 UCLA after the Bruins defeated No. 8 South Carolina, in a winner-take-all Game 3 Sunday.
Oregon and UCLA will play in the opening round Thursday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. PST.

In Game one of the Super Regional, Kai Luschar went 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Meanwhile, Kedre went 1-for- with a run scored, a stolen base and a walk.
Game two, Kai recorded two hits with two RBIs while Kedre had one hit and two RBIs of her own. Both sisters tallied a run scored and a stolen base in the final game of the series.
It marks the program’s seventh College World Series appearance and first since 2018.
