Kedre Luschar, a Carson High graduate and University of Oregon softball player, was named to the DI all-American second team Tuesday.

The senior, a USA Softball Player of the Year Top 25 finalist, was fourth in the Big Ten and 14th nationally with a .444 average and ranked among the Big Ten's top five in hits (third), stolen bases (fourth) and doubles (fourth).

Luschar earned first-team all-conference honors in the Big Ten. Her teammate, pitcher Lyndsey Grein, was named to the DI first team.

Oregon returns to the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2018. Making their seventh appearance all-time, the Ducks will open the WCWS against UCLA on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Luschar was joined on the second team by University of Nevada catcher Aaliyah Jenkins, also a senior. Jenkins is the first all-American for the Wolf Pack since 2008 and only the second all-American in program history since the sport was reinstated in 2003.

Jenkins was previously named Mountain West Player of the Year in addition to being named to the NFCA All-Mountain First Team and All-Mountain West First Team.

Jenkins ranked in the top 50 nationally in total bases (seventh, 152), runs (eighth, 64), slugging percentage (12th, .916), batting average (19th, .446), on-base percentage (19th, .546), stolen bases (20th, 31), doubles (21st, 17), hits (26th, 74), RBI (31st, 60), and home runs (41st, 17). Jenkins was the only NCAA division I player to steal 30 bases and hit 10 homers.
