Proscenium Players, Inc., the second oldest continuously-operating theater company in Nevada, is presenting a series of humorous one-act plays Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall.

Themes of the acts are varied and include: When you realize your love life is being orchestrated by a terrible screenwriter, how do you stop the ride and get off?

How does a hapless bystander respond when called upon by a deranged actress to give the brush off to her recent ex?

What if your smart car is literally smarter than you and insanely jealous of your girlfriend?

And, when it’s just the girls, what do the put-upon ladies of Shakespeare — Ophelia, Juliet, Desdemona, Kate, Anne Boleyn and Hecate — gripe about?

The acts are written by New York playwright Bruce Kane and local writer Fred Hampton.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall, 511 W. King St.

Tickets cost $8 for BAC and Proscenium Players members; $12 for seniors and students and general admission; and $15 at the door. Tickets are at Breweryarts.org or in the BAC’s Artisan Store, 449 W. King St.
