Deadman’s Creek Trail guided hike planned Sunday in Washoe Valley

Washoe Lake State Park is offering a one-mile round-trip hike to the overlook on the Deadman's Creek Trail from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The guided hike offers a short, steep climb to the overlook, at about 280 feet. Wildflowers are blooming along the trail, providing attendees the opportunity to take pictures and learn about new plants.
The event is open to the public and free of charge; however, there is an entrance fee into the park of $7 per vehicle. Nevada residents receive a $2 discount.
Program schedules are subject to change due to weather and staffing. Attendees are encouraged to bring plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear.
Washoe State Park is located at 4855 Eastlake Blvd. To get there, exit on Eastlake Boulevard, Exit 44, from I-580.
