Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for May 16. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

• BPO Elks Lodge, 515 N. Nevada St., scored 100 points.

• Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive, scored 100 points.

• Carson City Toyota, convenience store, 2590 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Casino Fandango, Bird Bar, 3800 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Casino Fandango, Cabaret Bar, 3800 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Casino Fandango, Restaurant, 4000 S. Curry St., scored 96 points. The reach-in nearest the entrance door to the snack bar is not holding proper cold temperature and is in need to defrosting before storing any foods inside. The plastic sheet liner inside the main ice machine is detaching from the metal, allowing for physical contamination in the customer ice. There is no thermometer inside the reach-in nearest the entrance door to the snack bar. There are no chlorine test strips in the kitchen to be able to mix and verify a 50 parts per million solution for the sanitizer spray bottles. Wet mops are not all being hung over the mop sink for proper draining between uses. One is stored behind the water heater.

• Casino Fandango Video Bar, 3800 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• El Charro Avitia, bar and lounge, 4389 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• El Charro Avitia, restaurant, 4389 S. Carson St., scored 95 points. Found foods stored directly on the floor in the rear storage shed. Some bags were open, corrected on site. Wet wiping cloths are not stored in sanitizer solution often enough between uses to ensure a measurable residual of 50 parts per million chlorine in the cloth, corrected on site. There is biofilm accumulation inside the bottom half of the ice machine on the roof around the ice chute. The containers used to store clean utensils also have food debris inside them.

• Gold Dust West, Ole Ole Bar, 2171 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

• Gold Dust West, Sports Bar, 2171 E. Highway 50, scored 96 points. There is no measurable chlorine sanitizer residual in one dishwasher that has been in use all day, corrected on site.

• Gold Dust West, Ole Ole Mexican Restaurant, 2171 E. Highway 50, scored 98 points. There is biofilm buildup around the ice chute inside the main ice machine.

• Jack In the Box, 3665 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Nice & Easy Catering, mobile food vehicle, scored 92 points. Hot food was noted being kept at 130 degrees. There was not a Certified Food Handler on duty during the time of inspection.

• Nieves Snowcones, mobile food vehicle, scored 100 points.

• Tacos El Tio, mobile food vehicle, scored 100 points.

• Taqueria La Salsa, 1946 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.
