BAC Stage Kids presents ‘Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids"
The BAC Stage Kids will hold a production of “101 Dalmatians Kids” the next two weekends at the Donald W. Reynolds Black Box Theatre at the Brewery Arts Center.
The cast is comprised of young people ages 6 to 10, who are cast in such roles as Cruella DeVil, Roger and Anita, and Dalmatian puppies.
Originally a 1961 animated film, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians tells the story of Dalmatian parents Pongo and Perdita and their quest to save their puppies from the evil Cruella De Vil and her two henchmen, Horace and Jasper. It also features classic Disney songs like “Cruella De Vil.”
Leading the cast and crew of more than 30 local children are Summer Barth, 10 and Shasta Longo, 9, as Cruella, alongside a cast of singers, dancers, actors and acrobats retelling the classic story.
“I am incredibly proud and continually amazed by this great group of kids,” said Andie Anderson, head of the BAC Stage Kids program theatre program and director of “101 Dalmatians. Their hard work and enthusiasm shows through as they bring this story to life on the stage – even the tiniest little puppy shines!”
The show will run Nov. 14, 15, 21, and 22 at 7 p.m., with 2 p.m. mantinees on Nov. 16 and 23, in the Performance Hall Theatre at the Brewery Arts Center at 511 W. King St. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for students, seniors and BAC members. They can be purchased from the BAC Main Office or at http://www.breweryarts.org/bacstagekids.
