Carson City Soccer League

Ramon Nava, co-owner

3909 Fairview Drive

Hours of operation: Games played Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.

What I do: We have a league for boys under 13 and girls under 12. We have a ladies league aged over 16. Men’s league begins in October. We also rent out our building for special events.

What we like about operating a business in Carson City: Because we don’t have that many leagues around here that are indoor. We have a lot of people who play and want to have some fun. This keeps our children away from the streets and drugs.

Family: I have three girls who play: Beatrice, who plays with adult women; Lupita and Juanita play with the girls league.

Why is it important for children to play soccer: For their health benefit and to keep them busy. Maybe when they grow up they can become professionals.

Cost: $35 per player for about two months. We have some pro bono players. Anyone is welcome to this league, all races all nationalities.
