Industrial company earns safety certification

American Buildings Co. completed the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program of the State of Nevada’s Division of Industrial Relations in March.

The company has manufactured custom engineered steel building systems for more than half a century. It has service centers located in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio and California. It has manufacturing centers in Carson City, Alabama, Illinois and Virginia.

These centers produce metal roof and wall systems, components and accessories for the low-rise, non-residential metal building systems industry.

All of the company’s products are manufactured in the American Institute of Steel Construction certified facilities. The 2401 Conestoga Drive plant has operated for 28 years.

The free state program is designed to assist small employers (those with fewer than 250 employees) develop and implement effective safety and health programs. The program assists businesses to improve their return on investment and keep in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
