Exhibition space is available for Northern Nevada Development Authority’s 2005 Business and Tech Expo.

Businesses will have the opportunity to present their products and services at an event that attracts up to 1,000 business and industry professionals. The Oct. 6 expo will provide technical business assistance and economic analysis to Northern Nevadans.

“We’ll probably have a record turnout and we’ll probably have to turn away exhibitors,” said authority Executive Director Ron Weisinger.

For sponsoring, exhibiting or advertising, contact Judi Bishop at 883-4413, or e-mail nnda@nnda.org.

Dave Archer, the incoming president of the American Marketing Association of Northern Nevada, is chairman of the expo.

Co-sponsors of the event are the Nevada Appeal and the Northern Nevada Business Weekly. Last year about 70 vendors participated in the event at the Appeal’s building on Mallory Way.

“This is a great opportunity to meet both the people who attend the expo as well as to meet fellow exhibitors,” said Debra Nevins, loan officer at Granite Peak Mortgage and a 2004 exhibitor. “This was a real win-win event for my business. I found new customers and new resources.”

Nevins said she’s signing up for this year’s expo.

Keynote speaker John Mitchell, economist for U.S. Bancorp’s western region, will discuss the issues that affect business growth in Northern Nevada.

US Bank is the title platinum sponsor, with other key sponsors including Greater Nevada Credit Union, Charter Communications, SmartBrand and Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
