Western Nevada College offers motorcycle safety courses

Western Nevada College’s Continuing Education department is offering a variety of motorcycle safety courses for new and continuing motorcycle riders.

The Basic RiderCourse is designed for new riders and offers participants the opportunity to earn their M class endorsement. The Advanced RiderCourse is for experienced riders who hold a Class M endorsement and want to improve their skills and safety on the road.

New this year, the Range Only course offers beginning and intermediate riders the opportunity to practice their skills on the range under the supervision of experienced coaches.

Basic RiderCourses are available most weekends from now through November, and Advanced RiderCourses are available on May 11 and Sept. 14. Range Only courses are available in June, August, October and November. The cost for the Basic RiderCourse is $150, and Range Only and Advanced RiderCourses are $85 each. Many insurance companies offer discounts to riders who complete one of these courses.
