Carson City School District officials and the Carson City Sheriff’s Department lifted a lockout placed on Carson High School Thursday after an adult male was identified as a threat to himself and others, district spokesman Dan Davis confirmed.

Law enforcement and school officials recovered students from within the campus bringing them from the exterior of the site, locking them from the outside and classroom instruction was unable to continue. The sheriff’s office assessed and managed the situation as a precautionary measure, which occurred midday.
