Cathylee James, Assembly District 38
September 22, 2004
I don’t believe in making excuses for why things are the way they are. I believe our elected officials have a responsibility to aggressively pursue solutions to our problems. And that’s what I’ll do as an Assemblywoman from the 38th District. I’ll fight for:
• Greater accountability for school spending, i.e. more dollars going directly to classroom instruction, up-to-date textbooks and the most highly qualified teachers we can hire.
• Quality health care and prescription drugs made more affordable for everyone.
• Policies to help rural communities with economic development, water rights and local representation while still ensuring that local decisions are made by the communities that will be affected.
• A Legislature that will keep talking, keep searching for solutions, keep working for all Nevadans.
