We would also like to express our thanks and gratitude to the employees of GE who donated their time to judge our science fair.

You have made our school a happy place to go.

Great time at Lincoln/Reagan Dinner

Douglas County Republican Central Committee would like to thank all who participated in our Lincoln/Reagan Day Dinner at Carson Valley Inn last Sunday. The folks at Carson Valley Inn did a superb job helping us host an affair for over 200 Republicans.

A special thanks to Lt. Governor Brian Krolicki who was our master of ceremonies along with Governor Sandoval; Senator, John Ensign; Congressman, Dean Heller and Mark Amodei, Chair, Nevada State Republican Party. Each had a chance to speak with the group, sharing their points of view on subjects of their choosing. President Ronald Reagan’s 100th birthday was celebrated, birthday cake and a special Reagan memory table. A great time was had by all.

Thanks to an angel

Last week another Carson City angel entered my life.

I left my purse in the shopping cart at a local grocery story parking lot. Immediately, I turned around but the purse was gone. What a disaster!

A wonderful, honest woman named Kim had found it and was calling me to return it. She returned it with all the contents intact and refused a reward.

I am eternally grateful to Kim and her family and can only hope their kind deed will be returned many times over.
