Climate change focus of Carson City Democratic luncheon
Hydrogeologist and professional wetland scientist Lori Carpenter will be the featured speaker at the Carson Democrats’ special Earth Day luncheon. Having attended Al Gore’s three-day Climate Reality Leadership Corps training, Carpenter is well prepared to lay out the realities of climate change and its long-term environmental consequences.

In her work she employs unmanned aerial systems to conduct scientific studies with respect to hydrologic resources, environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, habitat restoration and environmental risk assessments on projects in the western U.S. and abroad.
This event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday in the banquet room of Carson City’s Round Table, on Retail Drive just off College Parkway. Suggested donations of $5 or more gratefully accepted but aren’t required. .
