19-month-old found in vehicle with duo facing drug charges, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
At 10:56 a.m., a 34-year-old woman was arrested after a traffic stop for an expired registration on Musser Street. During the vehicle inventory before towing it, the deputy found a glass pipe with burn marks. She was charged with possession of paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,000.
At 6:32 p.m., a 38-year-old was arrested after a traffic stop on North Carson Street for an expired registration. The woman driver was also charged with a suspended driver’s license and held on two outstanding contempt of court warrants. Bail was set at $2,550.
At 2:55 p.m., Guadalupe Fuentes, 34, was charged with possession of meth after a traffic stop on Musser Street for an expired registration. The meth was discovered during an inventory of the vehicle before it was towed. Bail was set at $2,500.
At 7:37 p.m., a 26-year-old was charged with DUI 2nd alcohol after a traffic stop for running a stop sign at Silver Safe and Sonoma and speeding. He was also charged with the traffic offenses and obstruction for his conduct during the field sobriety test. Bail was set at $1,430.
At 9:49 p.m., Steven Biskup, 35, and Lisa Biskup, 38, were arrested in a traffic stop on South Carson Street after deputies saw her get in the vehicle with an open alcohol container. The arrest report says the woman opened the door of the moving vehicle and threw a small object out. After the stop, a K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle and a search located about five grams of meth under the driver’s seat and paraphernalia. Another five grams was found in her purse. Both were charged with trafficking in meth, possession for sale, possession of paraphernalia and the open container violation. He was additionally charged with no valid driver’s license. His bail was set at $26,350. Her bail was set at $26,250.
At 2:37 a.m., a 29-year-old woman was arrested at Dotty’s casino on Market Street after a background check found an outstanding warrant charging contempt of court. Bail was set at $3,000.
At 8:22 a.m., Alejandra Hernandez, 31, was arrested on warrants charging grand larceny and violation of suspended sentence conditions at her residence on Cameron Court. Bail was set at $8,500.
At 6:37 p.m., Derek Huntley, 32, and Rena Avery, 27, were arrested on multiple charges after a traffic stop at Long and Rand for a fictitious license plate. After a drug dog alerted on the vehicle, each was charged with possession of a controlled substance. They were also charged with child abuse and endangerment because the drugs were in the vehicle along with a 19-month-old child. Huntley was additionally charged with possession of paraphernalia, a suspended registration, revoked drivers license and no proof of insurance. His bail was set at $25,150. Her bail was set at $22,500.
