Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Carson City man arrested on suspicion of careless driving
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
• At 5:55 p.m., a 33-year-old laborer was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery at an address on Highway 50 East. He was accused of grabbing a woman by the head and tearing an earring out of her earlobe. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 9:08 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson man was arrested after deputies spotted his vehicle driving at high speed on Fifth Street. The driver was arrested on suspicion of careless driving, driving on a suspended registration and DUI Alcohol/Drugs. Total bail was set at $1,200.
• At 10:42 p.m., a 22-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested on suspicioin of four offenses following her arrest on a petit larceny charge at Walmart. A search of her person and purse turned up traces of opiates and paraphernalia. She was arrrested on suspicion of felony providing false information when she gave the deputy an incorrect name. In addition, dispatch turned up a warrant out of Douglas County. Total bail was set at $9,250.
