Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested of contempt of court warrant
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
• At 12:03 p.m., a 64-year-old woman was arrested of suspicion of DUI-first offense after she showed up at the front desk of the Sheriff’s Department smelling of alcohol. She was also arrested of suspicion of driving on a suspended license and violating bail conditions. Bail was set at $5,000.
• At 4:48 p.m., a 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested of suspicion of violating a restraining order barring him from contact with his wife. Bail was set at $1,000.
• At 6:02 p.m., a 30-year-old was arrested of suspicion of drug charges after a traffic stop at Gregg Street and Hunter Court on his bicycle. He was arrested of suspicion of possession of a hypodermic and a silver spoon with black residue on it. He was also on suspicion of violating pre-trial conditions. Bail was set at $4,000.
• At 8:55 p.m., Joseph Scurti, 26, was arrested of suspicion of a warrant charging contempt of court. The arrest report charges a bag on his scooter contained a scale with meth residue on it. Bail was set at $18,500.
