Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
• At 8:50 a.m., a 57-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-second offense. He was booked in lieu of $5,000 bail.
• At 9:48 a.m., Thomas Tyrell, 29, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery involving strangulation, a Category D felony, after deputies were called to an apartment on Woodside. He allegedly choked a woman during an argument. Bail was set at $15,000.
• At 2:53 a.m., a Carson man was arrested after deputies responded to the AM-PM on south Carson Street for a report of an intoxicated driver. The arrest report says he was under the influence with red, watery eyes and slurred speech but refused a field sobriety test. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense as well as violating bail conditions prohibiting consumption of alcohol. Total bail in the case was set at $4,000.
