Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Suspect arrested on suspicion of drug sales
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
• At 12:49 p.m., Ismael Castaneda, 24, was arrested on suspicion of drug sales after a traffic stop for speeding in the Fairview Drive, South Carson Street area. The sales charge was a warrant issued by Eastfork Township in Douglas County. He was also charged with speeding and driving without a valid license. Total bail was set at $10,180.
• At 9:15 p.m., a 20-year-old couple was arrested after deputies went to their Russell Way apartment to serve a warrant on the male. According to the arrest report, they made a forced entry after the woman, who was holding an infant, opened a window and yelled “come in please, he won’t let me leave.” Inside, deputies found marijuana and paraphernalia, the report states. Both were charged with child endangerment, possession of pot and paraphernalia and as minors in possession of alcohol. In addition, he was charged with contempt of court. Her bail was set at $3,250. His bail was $8,250.
• At 10:53 p.m., a 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first at his apartment on East Park. Bail was set at $3,000.
