Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Woman, arrested for ‘shirting’ the law, only wearing T-shirt

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

MONDAY

At 11:45 a.m., a 22-year-old Reno woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI drugs-first offense following a traffic stop for speeding at Fairview Drive and Lompa Lane. The arrest report said she was arrested because the deputy could smell marijuana in the truck and on her person. A K-9 search turned up a small amount of pot. She was arrested on suspicion of possession and speeding as well as DUI and held in lieu of $1,645 bail.

At 4:03 p.m., a 40-year-old Mound House man was arrested on suspicion of drug charges after a traffic stop outside AM-PM on Highway 50 for a suspended registration. A search of the vehicle revealed prescription drugs. Total bail in the case was set at $8,500.

At 5:01 p.m., a 22-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny from both Kohl’s and JCPenney based on items found in the car he was driving. He also was arrested on suspicion of violating his parole conditions and held without bail.

At 8:42 p.m., a 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of a minor consuming alcohol after a traffic stop of his bicycle at Rand and East William Streets. He was also arrested on suspicion of violating conditions of court supervision for the use of alcohol. Bail was set at $650.

At 11:20 p.m., a 50-year-old woman was arrested after deputies responded to a report of a female standing in traffic on North Carson Street. According to the arrest report, she was wearing only a T-shirt and when the deputy approached began swearing at him. Her blood alcohol was three times the legal limit. She was arrested on suspicion of a drunken pedestrian and held in lieu of $100 bail.

TUESDAY

At 3:01 a.m., a 55-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated driver. He was found face down in a thorn bush outside of Raley’s and, according to the arrest report, was more than three times the legal limit and unable to stand up. Bail was set at $1,000.
