Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of child abuse, domestic battery
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
At 1:20 a.m., Sylvia Coleman, 51, of Dayton, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop and Long streets. Bail was set at $5,709.
At 8:30 a.m., a 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of ex-felon failed to register, obstructing and contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious man walking around near the 2900 block of Mayflower Way.
At 9:40 a.m., Raymond Jacobs, 42, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony child abuse, domestic battery-second offense and failure to appear warrant after deputies responded to reports of a domestic battery near the 200 block of Lisa Way. Bail was set at $50,000.
At 3:00 p.m., Melissa Ayala, 26, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary and petit larceny after deputies located the woman they believed to have stolen a donations jar from the Carson City Chevron gas station in October. Bail was set at $20,250.
At 4:55 p.m., a 51-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of Department of Alternative Sentencing after deputies responded to reports of a man drinking alcohol at the Carson Street Nugget. Bail was set at $500.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
