Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of three counts of burglary, fraudulent use of a credit card

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

MONDAY

At 4:26 a.m., a Fernley man was arrested on suspicion of basic speed 11-15 over and no valid driver’s license after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the Carson Street McDonald’s. Bail was set at $150.

At 8:30 a.m., Frederick Montejo, 36, of Sun Valley, was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 7:30 p.m., a 66-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after deputies responded to the Market Street Dotty’s Casino for an intoxicated driver. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 9:47 p.m., Carlos Contreras, 24, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony burglary, two counts of felony fraudulent use of a credit card, two counts of felony obtaining money under false pretenses and possession of stolen property after deputies conducted an attempt to locate near the 1800 block of Long Street. Contreras allegedly stole jewelry and credit cards from a residence near the 1900 block of Hamilton Drive on Aug. 23 and later used the credit cards at a 7-11, US Bank and Walmart allegedly totaling more than $1,000. Bail was set at $106,000.

At 10:14 p.m., a 51-year-old Minden man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure/conduct after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated subject at the Nevada State Children’s Museum. Deputies transported the man to Carson-Tahoe Medical Center for clearance and the man yelled obscenities at other patients and officers before urinating in the hospital hallway. Bail was set at $500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
