Carson City Sheriff’s search for suspects in two burglaries
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate burglaries that occurred within the last two days.
The first occurred on April 18 after midnight at a business located within the William Street Bank of America building. The suspects forced their way into the building wearing construction-type reflective vests over their clothing. Both suspects appear to be African American males, one heavy set while the other is an average build. Officials are unsure if additional suspects were involved.
The second burglary occurred April 19 at the Winnie Lane Subway. When Subway employees open the restaurant Tuesday morning, they found a burglary had occurred. Detectives believe the burglary took place sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. Tuesday. At this time, it is undetermined what taken but detectives and crime scene investigators are on scene Tuesday morning.
At least three white male suspects were seen in the video surveillance forcing their way into the business through the roof. In one security photo, it appears one of the suspects may have been in possession of a gun during the burglary, said Lt. Brian Humphrey.
It has not been determined whether the two burglaries are connected and officials are continuing the investigation.
