Man arrested on suspicion of felony possession, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 1:15 p.m., a 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court and failure to appear after deputies conducted a pedestrian stop near Carson and Washington. Bail was set at $2,780.

At 4:46 p.m., a 27-year-old Carson City resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain after deputies responded to reports of a crash near the 1700 block of Carson River Road. Bail was set at $1,040.

At 5:29 p.m., a 19-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant after deputies responded to reports of possible drug activity near the Carson Street Frontier Motel. Bail was set at $2,600.

At 7:15 p.m., a 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a child harassment investigation near the 2100 block of Sneddon Drive. Bail was set at $500.

At 10:39 p.m., Harold Walker, 54, of Markleeville, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, failure to obey a traffic control device, no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, unregistered vehicle and three counts of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the Highway 50 FoodMaxx. At the same incident, a 25-year-old Markleeville man was arrested on suspicion of open container. Bail for Walker was set at $5,226 and bail for the 25-year-old was set at $100.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
