Man held for felony trafficking, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
At 2:12 a.m., Jay Schier, 31, of Susanville, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and DUI after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious subject at the Highway 50 Maverick Gas Station. Bail was set at $3,500.
At 10:22 a.m., Greg Gorsuch, 66, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony trafficking, felony possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of drug paraphernalia, basic speed, unregistered vehicle and driver's license not in possession after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Deer Run Road and Highway 50. Bail was set at $41,130.
At 3:13 p.m., a 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of probation violation after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1700 block of N. Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,000.
At 4:13 p.m., a 28-year-old transient woman was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer, no vehicle insurance, stop sign violation and driver's license suspended after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop and Stewart Street. Bail was set at $1,140.
