Dayton-area senior menus

The following menus are for the week of Oct. 23-27 and subject to change without notice. Choice of beverages is included with meals:

Dayton

The lunch menu for the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

Monday: Crab salad, beets, pears, crackers, sherbet, cake.

Tuesday: Chicken and dumplings, citrus salad, fruit cobbler, mixed veggies.

Wednesday: Pork strips, spinach, potato wedges, applesauce, cake, bread with butter.

Thursday: Halloween party: meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, peaches, green beans, bread with butter.

Friday: Holiday, center closed.

Silver Springs

The menu for the Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Way:

Monday: Polish sausage casserole, potatoes, carrots, celery, fresh orange, French bread.

Tuesday: Chicken cacciatori, stir-fry veggies, rice, pineapple, bread sticks.

Wednesday: Hamburger stroganoff, mashed potatoes or noodles, vegetable salad, applesauce, bread with butter.

Thursday: Roast beef, oven potatoes, green salad, broccoli with cheese, ambrosia salad, roll with butter, cake and ice cream.

Friday: Chicken or tuna salad, eggs, beets, cottage cheese, crackers, macaroni salad, veggies, cherry cheesecake.

Fernley

The menu for the Fernley Senior Center 1170 W. Newlands Dr:

Monday: Baked ham, scalloped potatoes, peas, roll, peach crisp.

Tuesday: Lemon-pepper fish, steamed rice, California-blend veggies, peaches.

Wednesday: Chicken cordon bleu, salad, green beans with bacon and onions, baked apple, cake.

Thursday: Chicken and dumplings, Harvard beets, mixed fruit cup, cookie.

Friday: Holiday, center closed.

Storey County

The Storey County Senior Citizens Center is on the corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

Monday: Beef stew over noodles, garden salad with French dressing, biscuit, Chantilly fruit cup.

Tuesday: Veggie lasagna, green salad, garlic bread, cookie.

Wednesday: Cheeseburger with the works, macaroni salad, berries with cream.

Thursday: Pork picante over rice, corn salad, green beans, citrus medley.

Friday: Cream of broccoli soup, lemon-baked fish, steamed brown rice, cauliflower, carrots, snow peas, colorful salad with vinaigrette, brownie.
