Elks club names Carson resident district deputy

Barbara T. Rackley of Carson City, was installed as district deputy to the Elks-USA national president during a meeting of members in Orlanda, Fla., the week of July 4-8.

She will serve as district deputy for the North District of the Nevada State Elks Association.

Rackley was installed for a one-year term at the 146th Elks National Convention in Orlando where more than 10,000 members and guests were present.

More than 4,807 members belong to 15 Elks Lodges in Nevada. Nationally, the Elks give more than $4 million in college scholarships each year. Local Elks Lodges fulfill the Order’s longstanding commitment to promote charity and patriotism in their communities.
