Wynn Resorts has contributed $25,000 to Save Lives Nevada to help pass gun violence legislation.

Save Lives Nevada is an organization founded in the wake of the Oct. 1, 2017 shooting on the Las Vegas Strip to support “common-sense” legislation to help prevent gun violence.

“We believe we have an important role to play on issues related to the security and safety for our employees and their families,” said Matt Maddox, CEO of Wynn Resorts. “That is why we joined the coalition at Save Lives Nevada to work toward practical common-sense policies preventing gun violence.”

Andrew Woods, director of Save Lives Nevada, said gun violence continues to impact Nevadans and their families. He said the organization worked for reformed in the 2019 session to help close loopholes that too easily allowed dangerous individuals to buy firearms and will build on those efforts as the 2021 session approaches.
