Bill and Tina’s Flowers, a newly opened family-owned flower and gift shop at 380 South Maine St., has announced a rotating selection of floral arrangements and locally made gift items.

“Customers have said they thought we had only carried flowers, but they were amazed on how dedicated we are in supporting our community by all the locally made gift items we carry in our shop,“ said Tina Arata, the store’s owner and designer.

Arata points out with pride at the number of locally made items. She carries 100 percent-made soy candles from Your Home America LLC, handmade pottery and mugs, honey, hair bows and turquoise jewelry.

In the future, she said the store will carry gourmet chocolate.

Arata said whether you’re looking for a corsage for prom, a bouquet for your sweetheart, or any other occasion, Bill and Tina’s Flowers is the place to go. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and they will always go that extra mile to make sure your experience and floral gift is perfect every time.

Arata said they are prepared for the special occasions coming up to include the Junior Prom, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day and the various graduations.

“We always have fresh flowers,” Arata said, adding that for special occasion like a funeral, she may have to order special flowers.

Arata, who has a degree in floral design, grew up around the business.

“One of my dad’s friends was a florist , and I was always at her shop (San Francisco Bay Area).”
