It has been a wonderful year

It has truly been a wonderful year. The repurpose project is complete and we are expanding our programming and services to the community; some things are obvious like the Lego Club and others are still in the planning stages like some kind of make-space program. It is an exciting time to be directing this library. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

HOLIDAY CELEBRATION/Centerpiece Extravaganza

Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Byron Sorensen will lead a Sing-a-Long at 6 p.m. The centerpiece silent auction closes at 6:30 p.m. Each child will receive a book to keep. Refreshments will be served.

Writer’s Workshop

Are you a writer looking for a place to work with like-minded people? The Churchill County Library is pleased to announce its Writer’s Workshop lead by Sara Dowling. The critique group is lead by Laurel Topken. Meetings are every Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Annex, for quiet work, or the library for a more conversational approach. All writers on all levels are welcome to participate. The library has books available on the subject of writing and Sara is prepared with “story starters” should anyone need help beginning. Sara can be reached at waterfallprincess@gmail.com.

Storytime is held each Wednesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. Join us for stories, songs, a craft, and valuable tips to help your child get ready to read. Special Countdown to Noon Party will be held Dec. 30 and Dec. 31.

Lego Club

This popular program is Friday, Dec. 11 from 2-4 p.m. and is for all ages.
