Making Christmas a little nicer

Staff Report
Lori Boteler was one of many volunteers who assisted community members.

The Christian Life Center gave away on Saturday good used books, clothes, toys and other items that were donated, including items for Christmas.

Carol Bock, who is one of the organizers, said this is a good outreach to help families who are not as fortunate as others.

“Both the community and New Frontier Treatment Center have helped out,” she said.

Volunteers who helped distribute the items came from the Christian Life Center and several other churches.

“We’re blessed,” Bock said. “This morning we had a lot of people here.”

She said Toys for Tots passed on used toys to them, and Bock also received four boxes of other used items.
