Military services for 19 veterans set for Friday

A military service for 19 veterans whose remains were unclaimed will be conducted Friday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

The Nevada Veterans Coalition will conduct its 16th mission at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Friday by honoring 19 veterans whose remains have been in the care of a local mortuary, yet remained unclaimed.

Services will be conducted with full military honors for the following 19 veterans at 2 p.m. at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, in Fernley.

Among the 19 veterans are two World War I veterans and 14 who served during World War II.
