New Millennium helps Out of Egypt collect food

Special to the LVN
Employees from New Mlillenniunm recently donated food to the Out of Egypt Food Pantry.

New Millennium employees donate time and talent to serve many organization boards and participate in various community projects.

Employees support the local community again this holiday season with their second annual food drive for the Out of Egypt Food Pantry. New Millennium encourages its employees to support the Out of Egypt Food Pantry by organizing a fun annual food drive contest between the departments. Canned food, non-perishables and toiletry/hygiene items are collected. The winning department receives official bragging rights as “The Most Generous” for the year and is awarded the “Shining Star” trophy to display in their office until December. There is also a “Scrooge” prize awarded.

The Out of Egypt Food Pantry provides an extremely important service to the community, offering groceries to approximately 400 needy families and individual members of the community and neighboring communities every Thursday.

The New Millennium second annual food drive contest ended one week ago. Employees were able to collect 3,527 items this year. Last year the Out of Egypt Food Pantry said they have never had a donation this large in Fallon.

This year New Millennium employees exceeded that amount by 14 percent.

New Millennium thanks all of the employees for their generous participation.

New Millennium Building Systems (New Millennium), a wholly owned subsidiary of Steel Dynamics Inc. one of the largest steel producers in America, employs 186 people that are paid out of its facility in Fallon.

The Fallon facility manufacturers steel joists and girders for the non-residential construction industry. New Millennium strives to make positive changes in the communities the employees live and work.
