Sage grouse comment deadlines start today

Some federal comment periods dealing with the listing of the bi-state sage grouse as an endangered species deadline is today.
This is the last day to comment on changes to the land use plans for the Toiyabe National Forest and Bureau of Land Management Carson District plans dealing with the listing of the bi-state and greater sage grouse.
Comments for the draft land use plan amendments for the Bureau of Land Management are due Jan. 29, and comments to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect the bistate sage grouse under the Endangered Species Act are due on Feb. 10.

Comments on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposal to protect the bi-state distinct population segment of greater sage-grouse as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act and to designate 1.86 million acres can be sent to Jeannie_Stafford@fws.gov.
